Westmount's "Mid-level" is midlevel with respect to Westmount's mountain and north of Sherbroke - whether it begins right at Sherbrooke or a little higher is debatable. However most will agree it is just south of The Boulevard.

        In general the homes and lots will tend to be larger than those found in the "Flats".  The "Midlevel" primarily features semi-detached and detached homes built after the 1900's.  Many homes feature unique exterior architecture with high ceilings and equisite woodwork detailing

The area is in proximity to numerous schools: Roslyn elementary, Villa Maria, Miss Edgar's and Miss Cramps, Marianopolis College (CEGEP), St. Georges, The Priory and The Study are within the "midlevel" area whereas Trafalgar School for Girl's just outside the eastern border. Murray Hill Park (or King George Park) is popular with its tennis courts, dog runs, soccer fields.

There is a slight slope in the mid-level area of Westmount,which allows some homes to have a winter view. There are some flat streets like Hudson, Grenville or Montrose or  beautiful crescents like Forden Crescent. Prime streets such as Aberdeen, Sydenham and Carleton offer offer detached homes and large lots. As in all of Westmount, every street has its own character and unique properties.
 
Westmount's mid-level location is still close enough distance to the shopping areas of Greene Ave and Victoria Village in the Westmount "Flats" . Depending on where you are in the Westmount "Mid-level" location you are an easy walk to the 66 bus route along the Boulevard or the 24 bus route along Sherbrooke. There are various metro/subway stops- Villa Maria (northwest corner), Greene (southeast), Vendome (southwest).
